During the pre demolition soft strip of this imposing 6 bedroomed house asbestos pipe insulation was discovered, works were immediately halted and Arco were instructed to carry out a Type 3 Survey to ascertain the extent of asbestos. 

Arco were then awarded the contract to remove the asbestos materials found as a result of the survey.  

 

This necessitated the removal of all floor coverings and floorboards to expose the asbestos insulated pipework within the floor voids. This pipework was removed using the wrap and cut method and all areas decontaminated.  

The completed works were rigorously inspected by an independent UKAS accredited laboratory prior to clearance air testing. 

 

Works were completed within the time frame and the client's consultants were able to authorise the safe demolition of the building.
